Books Alive
A library of living books — small paper creatures passed hand to hand at conventions.
Books Alive is a library of living books — small paper creatures encountered at conventions. Each one speaks in the first person, asks to be held, and does not want to be finished.
A living book survives by moving: staying still makes it fade, so it’s never yours to keep, only to carry. You hold it for a few minutes, read a little, leave one small mark, then find the next keeper and pass it on.
Four so far, each its own creature: Pass Me On, The Last Page, Chain of Custody, and The Book With Two Mouths.
